Painter Loie Hollowell, following a very successful solo show at Pace Gallery New York, juggles a family life, with two kids, from Saratoga Springs to Brooklyn, creating a body of work, and renovating a home, all in the middle of a global pandemic as demand for her work intensifies.

PICUS follows Anđelko Oliverić, living and working in Grimalda, an ancient hilltop hamlet on the peninsula of Istria, on the coast of Croatia, some time during the coronavirus pandemic.

In the town of Rovinj, a city in Croatia situated on the north Adriatic Sea, on the Istrian Peninsula, Zoran Klitschkovich runs his speciality coffee shop "AUGUSTO" in the relative calm after the first wave of COVID-19. When new lockdowns hit, with little to no help from government agencies, he has to figure out ways of staying afloat.

"When I started to shoot Notes On Blue, I wasn’t convinced that I could use this device again: myself as the microphoned performer walking the rooms. Then I took a quick look at what I had shot, and I thought, oh this looks different enough. I ended up hiring this incredible editor named Alexander Kaluzhsky and he worked a kind of magic. He broke up all of the super-8 and the 16mm and inserted it into the narration. I am eternally grateful to him."
